Sound and MIDI

Our sound mixer, MIDI controllers and the small MIDI helper apps.

A digital mixer combines many audio channels into one sound. MIDI is the standard way music software and instruments send notes and controls to each other (midi.org). A MIDI controller is a box of knobs, pads or keys that sends those controls.

For us: Our mixer, a QSC TouchMix-30 Pro, is in Studio 1. The MIDI controllers in Studio 2 control music and visuals by hand. Three small Windows helpers connect MIDI between our music and visuals software.

  2. Between PCs, send MIDI over the network with rtpMIDI (tobias-erichsen.de).
  3. Installers: Dropbox: JHH SERVER/5_BIBLIOTHEK/13_Software/LoopBe and Dropbox: JHH SERVER/5_BIBLIOTHEK/13_Software/rtpMIDI.

Convert MIDI to CSV

  1. Install GNMidi from Dropbox: JHH SERVER/5_BIBLIOTHEK/13_Software/GNMidi.
  2. Follow the Midi to CSV how-to in Dropbox: JHH SERVER/5_BIBLIOTHEK/01_Wissen/06_Anleitungen.
